I think you’re beginning to get the idea that it is important to recognize the Sabbath in our weekly schedules. The disciple of acknowledging a day of rest from our frenzied daily activities takes some time, but as you purposefully plan a Sabbath into your life you will notice the benefits. You will feel more rested at the beginning of a new week. You’ll retain a better perspective on life. Spending a day thanking our Creator God for His love, His goodness, His provision, His peace, and His forgiveness, to name a few, carries into the rest of the week. We’ve mentally cleared the calendar and made space for rest; for our minds, our bodies, and our spirits.
So today acknowledge your need for Sabbath rest and then….rest.
Shabbat Shalom – Peaceful Sabbath.
