52 Ways #5 – Don’t Forget Other Pastors

52ways[1]Up to this point these posts on 52 ways to care for your pastor have been out of sync with the posting on the Standing Stone Ministry website.  I started posting here after I began writing the series over there.  Well, that’s changing.  In order to bring more order and simplicity to my life I am jumping ahead today and posting the same article on each site.  I will simply add the missed posts at the end of this series down the road.  So, from here on out I will fill up your inbox every Friday with another of the 52 ways to care for your pastor.  You’re welcome ;). We are now on week 5 of our 52 Ways to Help in our Leader Care Series.  By now, if you’ve been keeping up, you’ve been encouraged to pray for your pastor, buy him gift cards for coffee and such, purchase magazines or books to help further his/her knowledge, and to give gift cards.  Hopefully you’ve been able to act on a couple of suggestions and have one or two ideas for the future tucked away in your mind.  Your pastor is probably feelin’ the love. But, before we go any further, I’d be remiss if I didn’t remind you to also include other pastors on staff and heads of ministry to the list of people you’d like to bless for their service to the church.  I’m sure you already knew these others were implied, if not expressly mentioned and have been scheming behind the scenes to bless the socks off of the guys in the media ministry or the director of Women’s Ministry.  But what about those that work diligently behind the scenes and don’t get much face time with the congregation?  There are so many busy worker bees on staff in pastoral positions or heads of ministry in the less glamorous areas of ministry that make the wheels go round each week.  Please don’t forget about them.  Every single, well most of these ways to show you care can be applied to just about anyone on staff. Spread the love.  Spread the love.
